Limitations

We always worried about our limitations of little pain. Our limitations are blessings for us. They always teache us something good for our life and challenge us to overcome them. We never think of the blessings we are having but always turn to think about our limitations and wants. Look the people around us those who have more limitations than us and their happy and joyful living. When we are worried about our small limitations we don´t bother about other things. Let us think about our goodness and use them properly. The day was good and brought many things new to my life. Thank you Lord for this day.

The people we meet every day of our life bring something for our life..........knowingly or unknowingly...........Let us welcome all .............if they are hard to us or good to us.........everything teaches us..........bring new understanding............strengthen our vocation...........Let us accept everything comes our way with good heart. It was a good day for me.........joyful and meditative........after supper we went for a walk. While we were walking we saw a man falling with bicycle. First Jojappa K went to take him and I helped to take out the bicycle and stand. Then we continued our walking.

Moved my Heart to learn.......

Today I was led to reflect about the words........words that come from my muoth or from other.........It´s very sad that very often I or we forget the situation, place, family background, country, even my past life situation and everything. I think the things that I come accross are not according to my standred and level..........How come these thinkings???? How can I complain about the things that are better than in my place or life situation????????? Is it natuaral tentency of human beings??????? I was thing about it while I was walking on my way back to home from my school........I or we try always to show that our place or my life situation where I born is better than this or that..............We are not ready to accept the things and situation where we are and appreciate it...............Happening of today morning mado me to think..........Lord let me accept things that come in my way...and try to learn from them.....rather than try to be away form these.........Let me enjoy the things and place You give to me as gifts.

KARNAVAL

It is good to know about the traditional feast in Brazil.

The origins of carnival date back to the ancient Greek spring festival in honor of Dionysus, the god of wine. The Romans adopted the celebration with Bacchanalia (feasts in honor of Bacchus, the Roman equivalent to Dionysus), and Saturnalia, where slaves and their masters would exchange clothes in a day of drunken revelry. Saturnalia was later modified by the Roman Catholic Church into a festival leading up Ash Wednesday. It quickly evolved into a massive celebration of indulgences - one last gasp of music, food, alcohol, and sex before Lent - before the 40 days of personal reflection, abstinence, and fasting until Easter (not exactly what the Church probably had in mind). 40 days of purging sins, preceded by a week filled with virtually every known sin. The word itself comes from Latin, "Carne Vale" or "Farewell to the Flesh".
Carnival in Brazil sets the standard for all Carnival pre-Lenten celebrations worldwide. Originally, Carnival was a pagan custom celebrating the arrival of spring. However, Christian culture was loath to relinquish the popular festival and incorporated it into their religious traditions. Brazil Carnival begins four days before Ash Wednesday, which is the start of the Lenten season. During Lent, Christians prepare for Easter Sunday by fasting or foregoing favorite foods and activities (the requirements vary for different Christian denominations) . Brazil Carnival is a great way to cut loose and enjoy life before the restrictions of Lent are imposed.
You should also keep in mind that Carnival in Brazil is a national holiday. If you are planning to visit Brazil with a day-in-the-life view, you might be disappointed at Carnival time; many shops are closed for the holiday. After all, who doesn't want to celebrate Carnival in Brazil?

Taubate

Journey of life in Taubate

It is something very good to experience different events and things in our life. Now I experience many different things and events in my life. These may teach me many many meaningful lessons. Thank to God for His guidence and presence throughout these days of my life. I like to share with you my life here in Taubate. Really I am very happy with the community and the activities. I experience someing different in my life. The comunity is active and alive here. I enjoy the company of many brothers and fathers now, eventhough I know it is for sometime. I learn something different.

We stay in the SCJ Theology house, Convento Sagrado Coração de Jesus, in Taubate, Sao Paulo. The house is connected with the Philosophy and Theological College, where our theology students and many other seminarians and outside people study philosophy and theology. There are 58 theology students and 6 fathers in our house here (they are II, III, IV year students). There is another community near by here, there lives Fr. Sebastin and first year theology students(15 students).

Our daily life start at 6 am we get up and 6:20 we have Holy Mass and Morning prayer. Then we and the brothers go fo rthe classes. 12 pm we have the lunch together then house cleaning(Tuesday and Friday outside work), Tuesday we have games, 6 pm we have Adoration then we have meal after we are free. Friday evening starts the pastoral ministry of the brothers and Fathers. These three days they are really busy with their parishes. The ministry includes taking Bible classes, Youth Meetings, Family gathering, etc..Every weekend we get chance to experience different parishes. We go with Fr. Sebastin and brothers to parishes. We get chances to meet the people and talk with them. Realy meaningful experience. Yes I learn many meaningful things for my life to come. People are very welcoming and hospitable.
They want to know about our life and culutre. They like to listen about our Country and people. They had a serial in the TV so they ask many questions to us. And it is very good to listen them too. I understood that their happiness is in sharing..... .

It is something different from what I experience from my childhood. Still now I experience good things and small challenges. I know there are many more things to come, many more challenges to experience. I hope you all pray for me and my companion. I always try to keep my Indian culture and life style. I pray to God that I may be faithful in growing my faith and treasuring something new for my future ministry. I hope and trust in God that I may get good and fruitful experience in this year. I humbly ask your prayers for us. Praying for all of you.

God bless you.

Life to Praise HIM

We all know that our life is a great gift from God. It is to praise Him , to answer His call(Will). When we reflect about our life we can see that everything happening in our daily life is through Him adn by His guidence. When we reflect about HIS life for us we can see that HE became nothing to make us something great. I hope this time of LENT will help us to reflect His presence in our life and our respond to His Unconditional LOVE.
