Journey of life in Taubate
It is something very good to experience different events and things in our life. Now I experience many different things and events in my life. These may teach me many many meaningful lessons. Thank to God for His guidence and presence throughout these days of my life. I like to share with you my life here in Taubate. Really I am very happy with the community and the activities. I experience someing different in my life. The comunity is active and alive here. I enjoy the company of many brothers and fathers now, eventhough I know it is for sometime. I learn something different.
We stay in the SCJ Theology house, Convento Sagrado Coração de Jesus, in Taubate, Sao Paulo. The house is connected with the Philosophy and Theological College, where our theology students and many other seminarians and outside people study philosophy and theology. There are 58 theology students and 6 fathers in our house here (they are II, III, IV year students). There is another community near by here, there lives Fr. Sebastin and first year theology students(15 students).
Our daily life start at 6 am we get up and 6:20 we have Holy Mass and Morning prayer. Then we and the brothers go fo rthe classes. 12 pm we have the lunch together then house cleaning(Tuesday and Friday outside work), Tuesday we have games, 6 pm we have Adoration then we have meal after we are free. Friday evening starts the pastoral ministry of the brothers and Fathers. These three days they are really busy with their parishes. The ministry includes taking Bible classes, Youth Meetings, Family gathering, etc..Every weekend we get chance to experience different parishes. We go with Fr. Sebastin and brothers to parishes. We get chances to meet the people and talk with them. Realy meaningful experience. Yes I learn many meaningful things for my life to come. People are very welcoming and hospitable.
They want to know about our life and culutre. They like to listen about our Country and people. They had a serial in the TV so they ask many questions to us. And it is very good to listen them too. I understood that their happiness is in sharing..... .
It is something different from what I experience from my childhood. Still now I experience good things and small challenges. I know there are many more things to come, many more challenges to experience. I hope you all pray for me and my companion. I always try to keep my Indian culture and life style. I pray to God that I may be faithful in growing my faith and treasuring something new for my future ministry. I hope and trust in God that I may get good and fruitful experience in this year. I humbly ask your prayers for us. Praying for all of you.
God bless you.
Christy Peter.
