Visit to the Mountain, Lavras

Experience in Seminario Dehonista, Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil

On May 1st came to the seminary(One of the minor seminaries of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Brazil Central Province). I came here for an experience until 22nd of May. I experience many new things here. I hope this experience will help me in the future. Here we have two fathers(Pe.Rafael and Pe.Honorio), one brother(Bro.Gilmar), two regents(Fras.Davi and Ceaser) and 20 seminarians. From them all I am learning for something of formation and community life. Mainly I see a dehonian spirit in the formation here in the minor seminary. Also it is a time for me to come in contact with our brothers here and learn more about the language. Anyway I am enjoying the life here and I am in peaceful heart. I thank the Lord for this meaningful experience. Praying for all of You.

Lavras City says bye to Dear Fr.Israel Batista SCJ

It was a chocking news for the city of Lavras, that our dear Fr.Isreal passed aways. Yesterday evening our dear Fr.Isreal went to our Heavenly Father to pray for us all. He was and he is an example for the people of Lavras and the whole Church too. His concern and love for the young that is what I saw in him and try to take to my life too. For the young he is a father, a friends, and everything. St.Ann´s parish is full of people from different parts of Brazil. His death is a big lost fot the city of Lavras. My dear friends pray for his soul. That he may be with our Jesus and pray for us.

HIS SOUL MAY REST IN PEACE.

It is very sad news that Fr.Charles Bisgrove has gone from us to the the house our Lord.

I love you, I pray that you may be with our Lord Jesus and pray for us your loving children. We always remember you, the good memories that you have given to us. You taught us how to be happy always and how to make others happy. Your example of religious life always inspire me to continue with my religious vocation. Thank you dear Fr.Charles Bisgrove. You are there always in my heart. I believe that you are with Jesus now, and praying for all of us(Dehonians). Dear father we love you.

Dores do Campo and Barroso

On 8th of this month I had a wonderful experience. I went to Dores do Campo and Barroso. There I attended two Charismatic Masses. It was really an experience of God. The prayerful day. I saw how the people pray and there trust and hop ein God. Which led me to think about my faith and vocation. For me it was also a time to know the people and place. Thank you Lord for this experience.

Carrancas

Yesterday was a wonderful day for me. I was with the youth from the parish. Went to Carrancas, to have an outting. Enjoyed a lot. Saw different places, beautiful. The places are naturaly gifted from the Lord. It was an ocassion also to speak with the Lord. In my life, first time I am taking and adventure to see the starting place of waterfalls. Anyway by the grace of God went well.

Where do we belong to?

I was thinking about these words ............There are many to speak about God but very few speak with God..........Yes we need to reflect and look to our life that there is any relation with our words and our life style. .............. How can we insiste the people to do whatever we preach if we ourselves can not follow them...............we need to become aware of this reality that where we are, with the people who speak about God but never speak to HIM..........or we are the people who speak with God and preach with our life experiences. We life should give an answer to this question. May my life should be a time to speak to God and to give HIS message to others.

Dehonian Youth Mission....St.Antony Community

I was with the group of St.Antony community. We stayed in a house. The house was arranged by the community. In the beginning we were 9 members in the group, after the first week 2 (Kellem andMarcio) left for home because they had to attend the classes. The one more joined in our group(Daiane). Mt group memebers were Fr.Fabio, Fra.Sergio, Luise, Guilherme, Jamila, Erick, Kellem, Marcio, Daiane and myself. It was like a family. How wonderful it was the time I spent with them. Each one of them were teaching me something each day. They were my brothers and sisters. They were encauraging me to come out of my skyness and fear to face the situations. Really I improved a lot in my approach to the people. Thank you Lord for the each one of them. We prayed together, cooked together and shared together, visited families and learnd from them. The Lord was with us to guide us. The people in the community how wonderful they are their hospitality, their eagerness to share with us. Everything was a learning experience. It was very hard to say good bye because we were like a family. But I believe that this seperation is for something good. To share what we learn from this being together. The you jesus for this meaningful time we shared each other. Thank you for your guidence.

Dehonian Youth MissionIn Lavras

The Dehonian Youth Mission 2011 started in Lavras on 8th of January, we had the opening Mass in the Matriz at 7 pm, the main celebrant was Pe.Willyans. The Dehonian Youth Mission will be until 23rd of this month. The youth from different states are here for this great event. The coordinates made some 9 gruops, each gruop has about 10 young people and each gruop has one priests and brother. I was with the gruop of Santo Antonio. First two days I was with them. Then Had to go to Taubaté for the visa purpose. then I cam eback and joined with my gruop now. It is a wonderful experience for me, because I learn manythings from this DYM(MDJ). I hope this experience will be meaningful for my future ministry. I enjpy my time with the youth. I always try to learn from the situation and experieces. Thank you Lord for this great chance that you have given me. I am impressed by the readiness and happiness of the youth to whom I live. Thank you Jesus.

In Taubaté

Yesterday reached in Taubaté. Had a safe and peaceful journey. Reached to Conventinho 9:45 pm. Now when I write this I am in the house of Fatima. After lunch went out with Fatima to see some places. Then came to her house. It was a nice trip to see and enjoy. Sometime spoke with her. A feeling is there that there is someone to hear and give some guidence. Thanks to God for these persons to us.
